Bojarski, the Cézanne of counterfeit money
52’
Ceslaw Bojarski, nicknamed “The Cézanne of Counterfeit Money” by the police, was a genius counterfeiter. His bills were so perfect that the Bank of France had to agree to reimburse holders for his counterfeits. It took the Office for the Suppression of Counterfeiting fifteen years of investigation to arrest this criminal, who was unique in that he worked alone. His banknotes have been elevated to the status of works of art by numismatists and are sought after worldwide.
